We are incredibly excited to announce our upcoming collection of artwork, dGenesis Drifting Drips. This collection is the culmination of months of refinement and experimentation, and the output is a paragon of long-form generative art.

Behind the Art

Drifting Drips are inspired by colored liquids smoothly moving across a backdrop; exploring the intersection of bleeding-edge generative art and this unique movement style.

The generative algorithm, which uses a combination of the mined block hash and the NFT's id for randomness, applies the collection's inspiration to create a wide array of visually compelling results. From simple shapes to complex - seemingly organic - interactions, each piece is truly unique. As a dGenesis staple practice, the collection's handpicked 65 color palettes also introduce an incredibly varied visual experience.

The art is coded in p5js. After ten confirmations, each piece is generated and stored on the blockchain in an animated version and a static, high-resolution version. The art may also be generated in browser as well.

The Mint Process

The mint will be conducted in three phases at a price of .05ETH and a capped quantity of 4,000. Arbitrum will be utilized as a reservation system; purchasers will receive a mint pass(voucher) to mint at their leisure. Reservations and minting will be conducted on dgenesis.io. Each phase will proceed to the next until a combination of 4000 reservations and mints have been completed.

Phase 1: November 11th 3PM EST/8PM UTC - Reservations will be available on Arbitrum for DGV holders. Pricing is .25 DGV per mint and .75 DGV is rewarded per mint. Reservations will be redeemable on Ethereum L1 during phase 3.

Phase 2: November 12th 3PM EST/8PM UTC - Reservations will be available on Arbitrum for everyone. .75 DGV is rewarded per mint. Reservations will be redeemable on Ethereum L1 during phase 3.

Phase 3: November 13th 3PM EST/8PM UTC - Minting is available to all reservation holders and the public on Ethereum. .75 DGV will be claimable per mint on Arbitrum once the minting process is completed through a merkle distribution. A reservation is guaranteed the opportunity to mint, so users with a reservation can wait until gas prices are favorable to them.
